CCCA members have once again shown their commitment to reducing their carbon emissions. In 2020, 76% of Alliance members who reported their energy data, reduced their carbon emissions by an average of 23%. This has contributed towards a 45% borough-wide reduction in carbon emissions since 2008.
Stephen McKinnell, Chair of CCCA Advisory Board and Head of Energy Management, Bloomsbury Heat and Power Consortium, SOAS University of London said:
The past year has brought with it big challenges for business and all in the community. It also demonstrated the difference we can make working together and the connection between health, wellbeing and addressing the climate crisis. It was inspiring to see Camden Climate Change Alliance members not only giving back to the local community, helping the most vulnerable as well as supporting those on the front line, but also continuing to reduce their carbon emissions by an average of 23% in 2020.
