Cargo Bike Trial: Success for UCL

Case studies and blog posts – Friday, September 11th, 2020

The Mail & Courier Services Team of University College London (UCL) are currently using the Camden cargo bikes to deliver essential mail and parcels across UCL, including items such as blood samples, to University College London Hospital on Euston Road.

The Camden Cargo Bike Network provides free audits to assess cost saving potential from reduced delivery times, Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) charges and fuel costs.

UCL have already noticed a reduction in their carbon emissions, which supports the UCL vision to reduce the number of vehicles on campus and create a more sustainable environment for students and staff.

Owing to this successful trial, UCL are looking to increase their number of cargo bikes, and eventually deliver all items by utilising this approach.
