Join schools in the borough contributing to tackling the climate emergency

In response to the growing interest shown by schools across the borough to engage with climate action, Camden Council’s sustainability team in Partnership with Camden Learning and Think & Do steering group, would like to invite you to join us at this event to inspire you and provide you with ideas and practical tools to take action.

The event will be an opportunity to:

  • explore what does it mean for Camden schools to declare a climate emergency
  • share what initiatives are already in place to support schools reducing their ecological footprint and
  • identify what additional support is required to make declaring climate emergency a meaningful commitment.

Special guest speakers will join us from:

Morpeth School, a school in Hackney who has declared Climate Emergency and developed a how-to-guide to support other schools.

Caterlink, the Council provider of schools meals, who will be sharing their sustainability initiatives and how they can support schools to reduce their catering footprint.

Camden Learning, who will be talking about Learning Hubs, including the creation of a new hub focusing on sustainability.

This free event open to senior leadership, teachers, TAs, site managers, business managers and governors.
