Thursday 21 May 2015 saw a number of organisations and developers come together to hear about the development of decentralised energy networks in Camden as well as understand the opportunities available for implementing or connecting to an energy network in the borough.
This breakfast seminar, hosted by the Camden Climate Change Alliance at the Wellcome Trust offices, included speakers from DECC (Heat Networks Delivery Unit), the Greater London Authority, Camden Council, Argent, Bloomsbury Heat and Power, Buro Happold, Arup and Vital Energi. The event covered the local, regional and national landscape for decentralised energy networks as well as developer and industry perspectives.
With over 50 attendees, the event demonstrated the range of decentralised energy networks currently in development or operation in Camden, and provided attendees with the opportunity to learn about the updated borough-wide strategy for decentralised energy development.
