The Camden Clean Air Initiative (CCAI) invites all those who live, work or study in the borough to join their whole community bike ride event on Sunday 30th May, to celebrate cycling, cleaner air, and the London Borough of Camden.
Riders of all cycling abilities can join anywhere along the 22 km cycling route between 10:00 and 16:00 and will enjoy some of Camden’s most iconic sights such as Queen Mary’s Garden and Camden Lock. The route will begin and end in 106 Arlington Road, and will go through Regents Park Primrose Hill, Belsize Park, Hampstead Heath, Kentish Town, Camden Town, Bloomsbury and Fitzrovia.
Riders are encouraged to join at their own pace and can even stop off along the way at CCAI partnered coffee and bike shops, so riders can grab refreshments along the way and seek bike maintenance if required.
Registration fee for the event starts at £4 for children under 16 and up to £15 for a family of up to four people. The CCAI would like riders to bare the colour blue on either the rider or the bike. Riders are also encouraged to take photos along the route and use the hashtag #thecamdencleanaircycle on social media which may be shared on their main page. All riders who complete part or all the journey will receive an eco-friendly medal. The medals can be retrieved from all partner coffee and bike shops which will be clearly signposted as they will display the CCAI poster in their window.
