The 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals agreed in 2015 provide a framework for organisations to cover a broad spectrum of areas. In addition to benefiting the business bottom line, the leaders group seeks to simplify the SDGs for businesses, communities and schools to demonstrate the impact local action has on global issues.
Hosted by Model My City, a Camden initiative to bring the Global Goals to life, we are inviting those working actively to achieve them to join our SDGs in Camden Leaders Group.
The next SDG Leaders Group meeting is Tuesday 27th October 2pm – 3.15pn online and will cover:
- Introduction and recap – Shana Tufail, Model My City
- SDGs and the London recovery – Jon Emmett, Greater London Authority
- Camden update (including the new Climate Action Plan) – Gemma George, Camden Climate Change Alliance
- Open discussion – insight and input from Camden leaders for localising and acting on SDGs and how we might use the SDGs as a post COVID recovery framework for Camden
- Next steps
Please register through eventbrite here and we will be in touch with joining instructions before the meeting.
